Event Summary:
EP China, well established since 1986, is the largest and most influential power industry fair in China. It has strong support from the China Electricity Council, China’s five largest power generation companies and two power grid companies. EP China covers all aspect of power industry, from power generation to transmission and distribution. Last year, in EP Shanghai 2005, the first ever U.S. Pavilion at this event attracted 5 U.S. companies occupying 9 standard booths in total. The Show was very successful and exhibiting U.S. companies all expressed satisfaction with their participation. On EP China 2006, a specialized theme zone of renewable energy will be included in for the first time.
Due to the excellent response received, EP China 2006 is anticipated to have an even larger U.S. Pavilion for 2006. China is the second largest electric power market in the world. In the next ten years, the annual growth rate of China’s power industry will be maintained at around 7%. To meet the strong growing demand for power, in the next 30 years, investment in China’s power industry will be more than 2 trillion US dollars, and China’s power generation equipment purchasing rate will take up 32% of the world’s total. Electric power sector in China represents important opportunities for American firms of all sizes. EP China 2006 has been certified by U.S. Department of Commerce. CS China will be actively involved in this coming event by providing show floor support and export counseling.
