Event Summary:

On April 3-5, 2006, China International Petroleum & Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition 2006 (CIPPE) took place in Beijing, China. Industry Specialist Cindy Ling Wang recruited 20 U.S. petroleum and petrochemical companies, who booked 36 standard booths in U.S. pavilion, 6 of these 20 firms were new-to-market companies. The CIPPE 2006 Exhibition was truly a collaborative effort between the CS Energy Team and ATC Team. CS Beijing’s Commercial Assistant Su Haixia and Wu Di, CS Beijing ATC Team Commercial Representative Marc Chu and Assistant Jason Xu, CS Guangzhou ATC Team Specialist Barry Zhang, Crystal Tang and Lena Yang joined Cindy to counsel show visitors and provided companies information about the participants in the U.S. pavilion.

Participation in the U.S. pavilion included a two-page of each company's bilingual information and their advertisement on U.S. Pavilion Directory and Organizer’s Catalogue, a large-sized welcome reception (105 guests coming at the reception) sponsored by CS Beijing Office, an eye-catching booth design for U.S. exhibitors, on-site services and help provided by CS colleagues at the show,

While attending the trade show, Cindy and her colleagues made valuable contacts with many U.S. and Chinese petroleum and petrochemical companies who showed interest in the U.S. pavilion and cooperation with U.S. companies. The knowledge gained from the show will allow Cindy to better inform U.S. companies about the opportunities available in China and with export counseling. Based on the rough calculation and the feedback from U.S. exhibitors, 9 potential success stories will be generated from this trade show.

Next year's CIPPE show in Beijing, scheduled on April 3-5, 2007, CS Beijing plans to have a larger U.S. pavilion at the upcoming show due to the excellent response from Chinese companies and U.S. participation at this year's exhibition.
