The United States has been the top developed country from which Canada imports its jewelry and related products. Despite the fluctuations of the Canadian dollar and increases in Chinese jewelry imports, Canada has realized an increase in jewelry imports from the United States over the past five years. It has amounted to an approximate 11% increase from 2007 to 2008, according to statistics from Industry Canada.
