AUTOMOTIVE TRADE MISSION:

Turin, Italy – Fiat and Italian Automotive Suppliers, December 1 - 5, 2009

The Center for Automotive Research (CAR), through its Global Marketing Alliance (GAMA) program, is pleased to present a trade mission to Turin, Italy for automotive suppliers seeking to develop business opportunities in Italy and with Italian firms likely to enter the U.S. market.  This mission is offered in partnership with the U.S. Department of Commerce Automotive Team.

Where: Turin, Italy

What: Visits to Fiat and Italian automotive suppliers; attendance at a major automotive summit aimed at fostering relationships between U.S. and Italian automotive sector companies

When: December 1 - 5, 2009

Application Deadline: November 4th, 2009

Participation Fee:

The participation fee for this mission is $3,500.  Participants are also responsible for travel costs: airfare, hotel, and incidental expenses.  A block of hotel rooms will be arranged by CAR at a reduced rate.

Benefits of Participation:

  • Participation in a high level summit, hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy which will focus on Italian companies interested in investing in North America.  This trade mission will constitute the automotive component of the event and will therefore receive special access to high level executives at participating firms.

  • Participation in a unique event, planned for just after the investment summit, where each mission participant will have the opportunity to present before an audience of interested Italian company executives

  • Customized data on companies of interest to each participant

  • Matchmaking meetings with pre-screened companies selected for each participant

  • A visit to Fiat’s global headquarters to meet with Fiat purchasing executives to discuss Fiat’s plans in North America, as well as its needs to move portions of its supply chain to North America, thereby creating investment opportunities.

  • Site visits and plant tours at major Italian suppliers

  • Assistance with follow-up provided by CAR and U.S. Department of Commerce

Target Mission Participants:

U.S. automotive component, production equipment, technology & solution firms
