March 17, 2010, ITES: Incoterms. At this International Trade Education Series workshop, learn how Incoterms, short for International Commercial Terms, provide standardized definitions of commonly used trade shipping and trade terms that cover issues on control of goods and financial responsibilities such as payment of cargo insurance and freight. Incoterms provide traders with a common set of rules outlining each party’s obligations, thus reducing misunderstandings. March 26, 2010. April 15, 2010,  ATA Carnet Briefing,  9:00 am -10:00 am.  Come hear a representative from the U.S. Council for International Business on how an ATA Carnet can simplify customs procedures for the temporary importation of various types of goods to over 75 countries. This includes the temporary importation of commercial samples (CS), professional equipment (PE), and goods for exhibitions and fairs (EF). April 21, 2010, ITES: Export Licensing for sending Encryption internationally. The US government regulates the transfer of encryption products, technology or software to other countries. At this International Trade Education Series workshop learn about the review and reporting requirements under the encryption regulations. Find out whether your encryption is strong enough to require an export license or weaker to be eligible for any general license requirements from the Bureau of Industry and Security.
