Commercial Service (CS) Shanghai, in conjunction with the Shanghai Overseas Student Recruitment Agent Association, held an overseas student recruitment agent-training program on March 12th to educate over 50 East China recruitment agency executives and counselors on the benefits of studying abroad in the United States.

Senior Commercial Specialist (SCS) Yu-Chien Chen invited 7 speakers to discuss 4 key topics (a breakdown of the U.S. education system, a U.S. visa briefing, U.S. testing requirements, and U.S. academic expectations) and speakers included Public Affairs and Consular Officials, a top U.S. MBA University Professor, and representatives from ACT and SSAT Examination programs.

After the event, representatives from the agencies expressed their appreciation for the event and felt that they had developed a better understanding of the general strengths of the U.S. education system, as well as better understood important issues that they deal with on a day-to-day basis.
