The topic of the webinar was "Opportunities for Student Recruitment in Malaysia and Singapore". In Malaysia, the presenters were the Commercial Service, Consular section, the Malaysian-American Commission on Educational Exchange (MACEE) and Sunway University College. In Singapore, the presenters were the Commercial Service, Consular section and Newcastle Education Group. The presenters touched upon the education market, each country's education system, and the student visa application process.
The purpose of the webinar was to encourage more U.S. colleges and universities to explore the recruitment market in Malaysia and Singapore. Overall, it was a good outreach initiative. The participating U.S. universities and colleges remarked that the webinar was informative and useful, and some of them are now considering visiting Malaysia and Singapore
