ExporTech: Global Strategies for small companies program coming to Eller College in Tucson this Fall

Beginning September 18th, the Eller College of Management and the Arizona U.S. Export Assistance Center will present ExporTech, a three-part program designed to help companies enter global markets by assisting in the development of a customized, vetted, international growth plan.  ExporTech will take place at the University of Arizona.

ExporTech leads companies through a facilitated process that prepares them for profitable growth in international markets.  Participants will gain an understanding of how exports can be a major growth driver, identify hurdles to expansion, and work with the facilitators to develop a customized export growth plan for their company.

The program is limited to eight companies, providing sufficient time and attention for each company’s specific challenges.  Participants will come from non-competing organizations; sharing strategic information as the plans are being developed will be encouraged.

Participants work as a group through a process to accelerate the pace and increase the success rate of international sales efforts.  Unlike a static classroom environment, this course is customized to the participants’ specific learning needs and produces an international growth plan for each company.  Working with experts, participants will refine their global strategies.  Participants will also be assisted by an Eller College intern throughout the process.

ExporTech participants will devote three Fridays to coursework:  September 18, October 16 and November 20.  ExporTech will take place at the University of Arizona.  The cost to register is $700 per company.

ExporTech is being presented in cooperation with the Arizona Department of Commerce, the Arizona Manufacturing Extension Partnership, and the Arizona Technology Council.
